10 Best NFL Football Players
Who will win the NFL MVP this season? Will Matt Ryan defend his title? Or, will Khalil Mack take home the honors to become the first defensive player to win the award since Lawrence Taylor won in 1986? Here's our list of the best NFL players this year.
10. Tyron Smith, OT, Cowboys
Offensive linemen are often overlooked by most fans, but they are one of the most crucial players on the field. Tyron Smith dominates the defense on every play, which helps create huge running lanes for Ezekiel Elliot and excellent pocket protection for Dak Prescott.
9. David Johnson, RB Cardinals
David Johnson's versatility as a rusher and receiver makes him nearly impossible to stop on defense. His 27 broken tackles, 2,118 yards from scrimmage and 20 touchdowns all lead the league last year in only his first season as a starter.
8. Aaron Donald, DE, Rams
Aaron Donald is an unstoppable force as defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams. He completely shuts down the running game while also finding a way to pressure the quarterback on every pass play. Donald's 161 QB pressures and 19 sacks the last two years are stats rarely seen from a tackle.
7. Julio Jones, WR, Falcons
Julio Jones' unprecedented size and speed make him nearly impossible to cover when healthy. He has averaged over 100 receiving yards in four straight seasons, and his 1,871 yards in 2015 was the second-best total in league history.
6. Le'Veon Bell, RB, Steelers
Le'Veon Bell possesses the quickness of a slot receiver and the toughness of a fullback. The only thing stopping Bell from being an all-time great is his off-the-field issues that regularly get him suspended.
5. Antonio Brown, WR, Steelers
Bell's teammate Antonio Brown is easily the top route runner in the NFL, which has helped him amass 481 receptions, 6,315 receiving yards and 43 touchdowns the last four seasons.
4. Von Miller, LB, Broncos
Von Miller basically won Super Bowl 50 on his own, and he did not show any signs of slowing down last year. Miller accumulated 13.5 sacks last year, but he also showed an ability to stop the run and short passing game with his 78 tackles.
3. Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers
Aaron Rodgers is known for his deadly throwing arm, but he also possesses a lot of speed. His ability to scramble of the pocket and find the open receiver down the field is unmatched. The only thing stopping Rodgers from multiple Super Bowl titles is a lack of talent surrounding him in Green Bay.
2. Khalil Mack, DE, Raiders
There is not a more dominant defensive player in football than Khalil Mack. His 96 QB pressures led the league last season, but he also added five forced fumbles and an interception. Mack's ability to create a turnover at any time helped him win the Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.
1. Tom Brady, QB, Patriots
Anyone that doubted the greatest of Tom Brady instantly became a believer when he led the Patriots to the best comeback in Super Bowl history last season. His five Super Bowl victories are not topped by anyone that has ever played professional football.
