Intriguing Week 12 NCAA Football Matchups and Week 11 Recap

CHRISTIAN CRABTREE

BIG shake-up this week in the CFP. Here’s how it went down:

The weekend started poorly for #9 Washington as they fell to Stanford on the road, essentially eliminating themselves for Playoff contention.

#1 Georgia lost 40-17 to #10 Auburn, but they still have a chance to get back into the playoff race.

Both #2 Alabama and #4 Clemson took care of business to maintain their quest for a National Championship.

However, to mix things up even more, #3 Notre Dame lost to #7 Miami, 8-41, and #6 TCU was demolished by #5 Oklahoma, 38-20.

#8 Wisconsin stayed unbeaten vs. #20 Iowa and #13 Ohio State throttled #12 Michigan 48-3.

After a great week in Week 11, week 12 will be a little slower. Let’s take a look:

Michigan vs #8 Wisconsin

Saturday, November 18th TBD

Michigan is having a subpar (by their standards) season with 2 losses. However, they have a chance to move up in the rankings and ruin #8 Wisconsin’s bid for a National Championship.

Kentucky vs #1 Georgia

Saturday, November 18th 3:30 ET

This game will not likely be all that competitive, but it will be important to see how Georgia responds after their loss to Auburn last weekend. Kentucky shouldn’t give them too much of a fight, but if Georgia still has the Auburn game in the back of their mind, there may be an issue for the Bulldogs.

Navy vs. #3 Notre Dame

Saturday, November 18th 3:30 ET

Again, it’s not a matter of this being a close game, it’s a matter of how Notre Dame responds to the beat down they received from #7 Miami. Navy started 5-0 but has gone 1-3 over the last 4 weeks and is looking to get back to their winning ways.
