Intriguing Week 4 NCAA Football Matchups and Week 3 Recap
Although each Top 10 team won their game this week, we still saw some movement in the overall rankings.
Clemson leapfrogged Oklahoma to the #2 spot after throttling ACC opponent #14 Louisville 47-21
#4 USC narrowly escaped a 1-2 Texas team, needing Double OT to finish them off 27-24.
#24 Florida, was tied with #23 Tennessee with :05 on the clock, used a 63-yard Hail Mary to defeat the Vols 26-20.
The biggest shock of the weekend, the Mississippi State Bulldogs dismantled #12 LSU 37-7. They went from Unranked up to #17.
Week 4 has two Top 25 matchups and a couple “battle of the unbeaten teams” to look forward to. Here they are:
NC State vs. #12 Florida State
Saturday, September 23rd 12:00pm ET
Although this is not a marquee matchup, it will be interesting to see how the #12 Seminoles respond after their 1st week loss to Alabama. And without starting QB Deondre Francois, who was knocked out in the Alabama game, how will FSU respond?
#16 TCU vs. #6 Oklahoma State
Saturday, September 23rd 3:30pm ET
This week we will see a matchup between two undefeated Big 12 schools. Neither team has really faced a challenge yet during the first three weeks of the season. The last two years the Horned Frogs have been beat up by the Cowboy’s, but hope to get back to their winning ways this week in Stillwater.
#17 Mississippi State vs. #11 Georgia
Saturday, September 23rd 7:00pm ET
The #11 Georgia Bulldogs are excited to host and welcome #17 Mississippi State into the Top 25 with a great atmosphere, a wild crowd, and some smash mouth football. This battle between two of the top SEC teams is sure to entertain. This will be a test of whether or not Mississippi State’s win over LSU last week was for real or just a fluke.
