Week 6 Recap

The Thursday night Louisville at NC State game was a big win for the Wolfpack, improving to 5-1 after their week 1 loss to South Carolina. The Cardinals pulled within one score but couldn’t contain NC State on defense losing 39-25.

A&M gave Alabama a run for its money falling short against the Crimson Tide. Alabama beat the Aggies 27-19 at College Station on Saturday. Nick Saban called the media “poison” and doesn't want his kids listening to what the media has to say. Saban also praised the Aggies for a hard-fought game.

The Cyclones of Iowa State went into Norman and beat #3 Oklahoma 38-31 shocking the Sooners and potentially knocking them from their playoff hopes.

After a 2007 victory, Michigan Running Back Mike Hart called MSU “little brother”. Since that game eight of the ten games between these two rivals have gone to “little brother”. This week was no different with the Spartans winning 14-10 at the Big House dashing Michigan’s playoff hopes.

And LSU finally snapped out of it beating Florida 17-16 in the swamp.

Here’s some Week 7 Matchups to look forward to:

#24 Texas Tech vs. West Virginia

Saturday, October 14th 12:00 ET

Although West Virginia came up short against the Horned Frogs, don’t expect them to roll-over vs. Texas Tech. The Mountaineers’ two losses have come against two ranked teams and 7 in each of those loses. But the Red Raiders have only lost 1 game this year to a good OSU team. This is a good game to start off your Saturday football with.

#10 Auburn vs. LSU

Saturday, October 14th 3:30 ET

Auburn’s only close game and only loss came at the hands of then, #3 Clemson (currently #2). They will have their hands full with an LSU team that is trying to prove they belong in the top of the SEC. These two teams aren’t real fond of each other and expect to see that on the field.

#12 Oklahoma vs. Texas

Saturday, October 14th 3:30 ET

Even with Oklahoma as a huge favorite, they haven’t been playing well in the last couple weeks. Texas is finally picking up momentum and they hope to continue on that path against the Sooners.

Utah vs. #13 USC

Saturday, October 14th 8:00 ET

A home loss to Stanford last weekend has Utah riled up for their away game at USC. The Utes trail USC in the Pac-12 South standings and a win here would have them in the driver’s seat for winning the division.
